Ashley, wife, mom (to both two-legged and four legged babies), photographer, artist and a yogi, completed her 200-Hour YTT at Studio Share in 2017. She began her journey when she walked into her first yoga class in 2015 when her son was a few months old. She was struggling to find herself as a new mom and went to the only mommy and me class she could find, remembering being so nervous but soon realizing just how much she needed it. She found herself again through yoga, the community and the instructors. They all saved her! Then the yoga teacher training helped her start to work through the trauma and insecurities she hadn’t yet faced. It set her up with a better support group and the tools she needed for the next plot twist in my family’s story. In March of 2020 her amazing little boy was diagnosed with autism. Her yoga family supported and helped save her again! From that first class in 2015 to now, she’s never forgotten what that first class felt like, and she’s never left a class without feeling lighter. That’s what she wants each of her students to feel every time they leave her class. Her goal is to make you feel welcome and included, and that you attend not just for the yoga, but for the community. She wants to encourage you to always try something new. You never know if that “something new” is what you’ve been needing all along!
